In the Air is a subset of my infrared photos, taken – you guessed it – while in an airplane. They are essentially studies of the clouds and the land use patterns of the countries over which I flew when I was shooting these images. To date, they include images from over Canada, England, and France. The camera was modified to shoot in infrared, so I was able to use the faster shutter speeds suited to the speed at which I was travelling. The colours are all false, and I’ve manipulated them in whatever way seemed to work best with the image.
