The world seen in the near infrared is subtly different and slightly surreal place.  Blue sky and green chlorophyll look very different in infrared; the sky becomes nearly black, while foliage is drained of its colour.

Long exposures further enhance the surreal quality of infrared photographhy, as moving foliage and clouds become an indistinct blur of motion.
