Northumberland County is a rural county on the north shore of Lake Ontario, about an hour east of Toronto. It’s a place of small towns, farms, forests, and rolling hills. It’s also where I live, and during the COVID-19 pandemic I started photographing the area again, processing images in the same style I have been using for Scotland, New Orleans, Toronto, and Jasper.
The series is an ongoing one that I will continue to chip away at for some time. I’ve started close to home, focusing on the urban area of Port Hope, but I will eventually create more images from across Northumberland, with a collection of urban streetscapes and rural landscapes.
